Majlis e Dawatul Haq

The first 9 days of the blessed month of Dhul-Hijjah

Assalamualaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu

The Hijri date tomorrow Tuesday, July 21st 2020 is 29th Dhul-Qadah in UK, We have a possibility for sighting of the moon, so in condition we will all start the blessed month of Dhul-Hijjah which is important for the tradition of sacrifice towards ALLAH, as well as for the annual pilgrimage HAJJ.
The first ten days of this month are very important and a chance for all of us to gain most good deeds from ALLAH, as the prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said “No good deeds done on other days are superior than those done in the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah”. Therefore, we should all do the best what we can, and have the takbir “Allah hu Akbar” on the tip of our tongue’s.
We should also keep seeking forgiveness from ALLAH and send Durood to our beloved prophet (pbuh).

We should try and fast for the first 9 days of the month, if not possible at least we should fast on the 9th day of Dhul-Hijjah which aligns with the day of Arafah. We should make the most of all nights in prayer and remembrance of ALLAH, especially the eve of the Eid-ul-Adha.

It is forbidden to fast on the 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th of this month. A special form of TAK-BEER is recited after the FARZ of 23 SALAAH. This begins from the Fajr of the 9th and ends with the Maghrib of the 13th. Males recite it reasonably audible, whether with congregation or not, and females recite it quietly.

This special TAK-BEER is known as:- TAK-BEE-RAA-TE TASH-REEQ, which is:
الله اكبر الله اكبر ، لا اله الا الله والله اكبر الله اكبر ، ولله الحمد

People, who have made the intention for Qurbani, should make sure to cut their nails, hair before tomorrow when the moon for Dhul-Hijjah is sighted. (It’s mustahab/desirable not Fardh/compulsory).

The best of deed towards ALLAH on the day of Eid, is to make sacrifice, which is a Sunnah of our prophet Ibrahim (pbuh). It is said by our prophet Muhammad (pbuh) that “Each and every hair on the sacrificial animal is counted as a good deed towards you by ALLAH”. The sacrifice is accepted by ALLAH, even before the first drop of blood of the animal touches the ground.

May Allah accept all our deeds and sacrifices we make in this blessed month, InshaALLAH!
